Fall is trail season

and we've got a full slate of ways to get your hands dirty (in the best way) with TUWC this year. Here's what's coming up

Saturday Sept 26

9AM - Noon
Herman & Kate Kaiser YMCA Turkey Mountain

Trails don't maintain themselves (we've checked). Join us this Saturday at The Herman and Kate Kaiser YMCA in hopes of a cool morning of clearing brush, trimming back trails, and generally making the ground more walkable than it was the day before. Bonus points if you are confident in fighting poison ivy but not required. 9AM. Bring gloves, water, and a willingness to get a little dirty for a good cause. Tools provided — determination is on you.
Mark the calendar: our November trail work day lands on November 7 at Labe Bixhoma in partnership with City of Bixby, 9AM. Cooler weather, new dirt. Come help us tuck the trails in before winter.

Closing out the year the way we like to — boots on the ground. Our December work day is Tulsa County Parks at Chandler Park, 9AM. A great way to work off some holiday stress with a War on Christmas (AKA Eastern Red Cedar - (and maybe a cookie or two).

More Work Days Are in the Works

These aren't the only ones coming — we've got additional work days in the planning stages that we haven't confirmed yet. As soon as dates are locked in, you'll hear it from us first.

Big things are germinating behind the scenes — a new gathering that'll bring trail stewards together to build skills, share know-how, and make our volunteer base stronger than ever. We're partnering with some great local players on this one, and the details are worth the wait. Save the Date is live now — keep your eyes peeled, because this is going to be good.

TUWC's new member portal is live and onboarding emails are on their way. The Trailhead is your members-only hub with trail building resources, a digital resource library, insider updates, and a volunteer leadership hub. If you get the email, it's real — click the link and get yourself set up.

Tulsa Urban Wilderness Coalition is volunteer-driven and receives no government funding — every trail we maintain and every acre we protect happens because people like you show up.
