No matter how many times we say it the fact remains trails do not maintain themselves.

We've got a run of work days coming up across Northeast Oklahoma, and we'd love to see you at one (or all) of them. (We're sprinkling in a few photos from past winter work days below — partly for the memories, partly so the summer heat doesn't scare anyone off.)

Sunday Sept 13

9AM - Noon
Herman & Kate Kaiser YMCA Turkey Mountain

We're heading out to the Herman and Kate Kaiser YMCA for a trail work day. Bring gloves, wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty, and come ready to make a real, visible difference in a few hours.

Monarchs on the Mountain

Now in its 11th year, Monarchs on the Mountain is one of our favorite traditions — Learn about the monarch migration, and take a piece of it home with you: pollinator plants will be available for purchase so you can start your own waystation in your own yard.
Another hands-on trail day, this time at Lake Bixhoma. Details on tools and meeting point to follow — for now, save the date.
We're back at Chandler Park to keep chipping away at drainage and invasive species work. If you came out last time, you already know how good it feels to see the difference a few hours makes.

More Work Days Are in the Works

These aren't the only ones coming — we've got additional work days in the planning stages that we haven't confirmed yet. As soon as dates are locked in, you'll hear it from us first.

We can't say much yet, but there's a big announcement growing for trails across Oklahoma — and we think you're going to want to be there when it sprouts. Keep an eye on our social media in the coming weeks for more.

TUWC's new member portal is live and onboarding emails are on their way. The Trailhead is your members-only hub with trail building resources, a digital resource library, insider updates, and a volunteer leadership hub. If you get the email, it's real — click the link and get yourself set up.
