The TUWC was recognized by the Tulsa Voice in 2016 as a finalist for the Best Person / Group making Tulsa Better along with GKFF
In 2021 The TUWC in coordination with the YMCA and River Parks Authority hosted Leave No Trace Training for all outdoor areas in the 918 to participate.
